Don't be in a hurry. Your pics will be submited here from your post in 'contributions'. http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-4640-29975.html#p29975 Your post is from today. We try to upload to the site the pics as quickly as we can, but be a little patient. You can add, in comments of each car, aditionals pics once the car has his own page with its picture. And, of course, welcome. |

Thanks, obviously that post came before I saw your message in the forum. But I still wanted to post the reverse shot showing the tail lights and felt the comment section would be the best place to do it. |

Oh and thank you very much for the welcome, I look forward to contributing a lot more not just from "The Andy Griffith Show." |

Obviously the script to the show didn't specify what kind of car Barney was driving, because the following exchange takes place between he and Andy: "Nice. Is that a '61?" "It's a '60. But it's got a '61 grille." Of course, there were no '61 Edsels, this car is not a '60, and Edsel didn't use interchangeable grilles between any two years. |

LOL...Then again, Skid, it wouldn't be the first time Barney pretended to know more than he actually did, and it would be in character to tell a white lie hinting the car is newer than it actually is. -- Last edit: 2009-04-14 19:38:08 |

Either that or some used Raleigh car salesman snookered him! |

Hey guys, my names Dave from a performance shop in Roanoke, VA. We actually have this car in the back lot of our shop. I just pulled the radiator out of it. We’re sending it off to be rebuilt. It has 2 gear selectors. The one in the middle of the steering wheel and one that was mounted on the floor. They did it so the cast wouldn’t be confused how to select gears. The owner also has a presidents Ford Edsel. He owns 5 edsels and they all have some historical history behind them. |
