I just think this is a prop car provided by Plymouth. It may have been new at the time of filming. Even if this 73 Fury were painted in the green and black just before that year they changed to blue and white; the light beacon they've used is wrong. The NYPD used it from 1964-1971. Then in 71 they changed to the Signal Stat light: http://www.policeny.com/lightssirens1.html Also, the siren should be infront of the beacon light, and not to the left hand side. So it is a quickly produced mock NYPD car. The better exmaple of all I've said is with the 69 Custom infront of the Plymouth. Which appears to an actual NYPD car. -- Last edit: 2010-02-01 09:37:01 |
