Could the hubcap comes from another vehicle or is this Mexican variant? |

I think those wheelcovers are from the contemporary Ford Thunderbird. Actually, now that I look at it, there's something funny going on here. This car has Thunderbird opera windows, too. Lincolns had oval opera windows. The grille and side-marker lights are right for a Lincoln, but the lights on the corners appear to be from a 1972 Continental Mark IV or Thunderbird - starting in 1973, those lights were larger and had chrome horizontal divisions on both models. The shape of the windows is absolutely right for a Lincoln, and not a Thunderbird, though, so I don't think it's a Thunderbird with a cobbled-together Lincoln front clip. I guess it might be some kind of export version. -- Last edit: 2010-02-06 20:34:58 |

CougarTim, you may be on to something that it may be a Mexican variant that I long suspected with American cars sold in Mexico. |

There's something strange about this Lincoln. It just doesn't look like a Mark IV at all. It could've been made from a Ford product but I don't know which one. |
