It's a 1932 940 or 945 Dietrich sport phaeton. One-piece round bumpers, wire wheels with larger hubcaps, 1932 radiator, and oddly enough, the 1931 capped headlights - perhaps installed at dealership when new or a transitional piece which used some of the last remaining 1931 headlights. Everything about the car screams 1932. Beautiful body on this one. And Hollywood, take notice, no whitewalls - whitewall tires weren't popular on prewar cars, especially big ones, they didn't get somewhat popular until the late forties. |
