Sounds good to me. It does look like a Chevy. |

If you mean the C/K-Series panel, and unless special models were made for the Mexican market, not a chance, as it is not a 1960-66 1st gen. C/K-Series panel nor a 1967-70 2nd one: ![]() ![]() (1st generation: no comment. // 2nd generation: not the same taillights nor the same hinges system, rear windows are different...) GM stopped the panel models in 1970, so it can't be a 3rd generation C/K-Series panel... Back to ⇒ Unknown Panel? -- Last edit: 2014-10-16 00:36:02 |

This should be origin of Mexico due to unique body style. |

Errare humanum est, perseverare diabolicum ![]() It's not a similar shape, the body shape is totally different. Just to get rid of a potential Chevrolet lead: even if this one was based on the 3rd C/K Suburban, for example, it would have asked a complete redesign, as the "origin" has a totally different shape: ![]() ![]() ![]() ("Ours" vs. 1977 "panel type doors" Chevrolet Suburban: lower fender/panel line , different fender and doors moldings, door handle, taillights, overall shape...) Trying to see another "eligible" Chevrolet basis for a possible revamp: the 1964-89 Brazilian Veraneio (which seems not to have had a panel version) was too different, and so was the 1985-96 C/D-20 with its huge groove that is not present on "our" panel: ![]() ![]() (1979 Chevrolet Veraneio // Brand new 1985 D-20: the movie was released in 1986. More models in this Brazilian page) -- Last edit: 2014-10-17 00:22:53 |
