It is the Morgan 4/4 4-Seater. Giving a correct date of production is rather difficult, as the 4/4 4-Seater was produced from 1937-2004. In the first years it had a different front end. The Morgan Clubs don't write about the age of such an ageless car. |

I think it's a +4 for higher bonnet line, 1960-ish for orange sidelights. |

+4 production ended in 68 because Triumph stopped making the 2.1 litre engine when they replaced the TR4A with the TR5. Morgan therefore replaced the +4 with the +8, switching to the Rover 3.5 V8, and reworking the design to match the lower but wider engine. So this 1969 French plate is newer than the car, but 11 years later I'll adjust its date to about 1963 for the orange lights. |
