1929-30 Donnet 14 cv six 2,5 l , the largest model of the Donnet line. Built at the ultra modern Nanterre workshops that were later taken over by Simca. It is quite rare to see documents of those. In " La Renaissance"12ième année n° 9 devoted to the Paris salon of 1929 , Charles Faroux wrote :" Let us recognize the patient and perserving efforts thanks to which the six cylinder Donnet can claim the title of the economical car in keeping the large adaptibility of use and the smoothness of operation permitted by the multicylinder type." |

Sorry ladies and gentlemen ..... this is not a Donnet 2.5 litre six, known as the Model K. I have one of these in the motor house. This is a circa 1927 Donnet CI6, 2.3 litres four cylinder, the proportions are wrong for it to be a K, and the K always had wire wheels, this car is on the wooden artillery wheels common on the CI6 (although wires were an option). |
