Definitely Packard (with that "Sliding Boy" hood mascot). Year is probably 1931 (vertical hood vent doors). |

Pilou, is it ok with you to put the model and series info in the chassisfield here, [903], for the Packards? I believe that it´s a combination of the series and the body type giving this code? When spelling it all out in the extra info, it gives a very long name instead of getting the same info in a code. |

Yes it is Okay .I would say Packard Eight De Luxe Club Sedan. The body type is important as it is a four-window club sedan. As you can see ,I put it as a 1932 whilst the movie is 1931 .In fact the ninth series eight DeLuxe was introduced on the 17th of june 1931 and continued to the first of may 1933 .The movie being 1931 it would be a 1931 car.So Packard Eight DeLuxe club sedan 1931.With Packards it is very difficult to put a year on because the series were mostly overlapping the classic model years which usually runned october to october at the time of the big automobile shows. On the other hand I am at trying to put at least one year on it to give an indication of the period.Series ( ninth) and model ( 903) can go into classifieds. We could detail but this would go to far for the site I'm afraid. |

I would say its a 31 having the flat front grill. A pointed grill was made in the 31 and a half so it would be an 8 series car not a 9 series. |
