The 5-door hatchback became available in western Europe from 1988 onwards. No, the early plastic grille was different. This one is either the early 1990s grille, or maybe a version specific to France. |

Yes. But, not all Samaras were with 5-speed transmisson. In first years (Started in 1987) Samara on domestic market was only with 4-speed transmission - 5-speed cars were only for export. So, there we can say that it's 'made for F' not just by grille) |
