Does "Kaross: Polis (93)" mean that it was made to a special police specification? |

Kaross would mean exterior or body work, normally a later modification for a police vehicle. But ask a Swede... Ola Svenska? |

It is registered as a Police vehicle. When later being sold as a private car, it needs to be re-registered as for example Kombi. Some police cars, mostly Volvos, has "Polis" in the model name. Or like my former police car that is registered as VOLVO V70(285-5932-199)P with the P meaning police specification. Btw, this, like all the other police cars used in the Wallander series, has the wrong markings, it should be blue and yellow, not blue and blue... |
