Hello car lovers. The car on the picture is a standard Bugatti type 40 with Grand Sport body (including standard dashboard). This touring model was produced in Molsheim 1927-1930, was powered by a 1500cc 4 cylinder engine and sold with 2 different body styles: The Grand Sport and with a roadster body with dickie seat. http://img203.imageshack.us/i/coco23.jpg/ |

Absolutely a Type 40. The dash is quite correct as indeed is the sound. The only slight problem is when Audrey Tautou exits on the driver's side. The Gran Sport body has only one door which is on the passenger side, the spare wheel being mounted on the driver's side. More intriguing and very nerdy I know is that the registration appears to be British. French plates of the time had numbers followed by letters, British plates had letters followed by numbers . . . |

Le numéro CO 247 est un numéro de Cochinchine des années 20 que j'ai mis pour m'amuser sur la Bugatti 40 de Marc Nicolosi .L'action se passait dans la réalité avant le 25 décembre 1919 date de la mort de Boy Capel ,mais la réalisatrice voulait des voitures plus récents pour des raison "artistiques" :pour les mêmes raisons j'ai immatriculé la voiture de Boy en Cochinchine !Lorsque les bornes sont franchies ,il n'y a plus de limite ! |
