Yes, 1st series (1976-79) Talbot-Chrysler Alpine (UK). In rest of Europe called Talbot-Simca 1307/1308/1309.

Since it seems not badged with T logo on the grill, it might be a Chrysler Alpine, and not Talbot (the Talbot name appeared in 1978/79 if I remember)

Between 1975-1978/79 just Chrysler Alpine in the UK, in other countries known as Simca/Chrysler-Simca 1307 etc. or Chrysler 150 (Spain). However in very early Talbot brochures (1979/80) some ex-Chrysler cars (2 l, British Avenger...) still had Chrysler logo but also new Talbot label on the hood.

Au risque de me répéter, avec cet avant, c'est une Chrysler, et ça ne peut pas être une Talbot. Le nom Talbot apparaît en même temps que le restyling...

badge on grille is that of the old Rootes Group, so the vehicle is Chrysler version..named "Chrysler(UK)Alpine"..the Talbot name re appeared in 1979 as chrysler who had taken over the Rootes Group were going to back out of selling in Europe, so Peugeot-Citroen stepped in and British Chryslers and french Simcas became known as Talbots..since this happened in 1979, and the car in the pic has a 1976 plate..the vehicle can only be the Chrysler version.
