Could be the difference between 1-Ton and 1½-Ton that 1½-Ton got dual wheels on the rear? |

After some research done, I think we can safety go for 1-Ton. This one would be a 1-Ton Medium Duty in 137 inch inside 3800 Series, instead the 1½-Ton with four wheels on rear axle. Also see http://www.brads41-46chevys.com/id7.html and http://www.oldride.com/classic_trucks/131131.html . |

1941-47 Art Deco truck. 1942 models are said to have a painted grille, which seems to be the case here. 125¼" / 3.18 m or 134½" / 3.42 m wheelbase? 1st would make it a ¾-ton stake (official name in 1941-42: Three-Quarter Ton), second, as it has single rear wheels, a 1-ton model (One-Ton in official documents. See the 1941 brochure -Pdf / 28 Mb)). But these wheel rims looks more like the ones of the smallest stake truck, which would mean a ⇒ 1942 Chevrolet Three-Quarter Ton Stake? -- Last edit: 2014-12-30 04:51:14 |
