While the body looks like a Clenet, there are a few things that do not. All the Clenets on that website show the spare tires on the trunklid, behind the car (Continental Spare). Not one of them has their spares on the sides like this car. Also the bar connecting the headlights, in front of the grill does not match any of the Clenets. |

I'm with night cub; I don't think this is a Clenet. Not all Clenets had the Continental spare, but I am not aware of any that had side-mounted spares. Also, the space between the door and the rear wheel is too large. I don't think it's a Zimmer, a Tiffany, or a Phillips either. It might be some sort of Excalibur or maybe a Johnson, but I'm not sure. |

That's it. Good job, fortengo! According to that ad, it was built by Ron Sparks of Pacific Motor Works in San Marcos, California, and had a Cadillac V8 engine. Only 25 were made. -- Last edit: 2010-04-26 06:47:37 |
