Modèle de calandre apparu en 1967 (j'ai la notice d'utilisation sous les yeux... de juillet 67, avec une photo gros plan de ladite calandre...) |

Not easy to find something diferent on this one from the Billancourt's version. Which was not the cas of IKA, with their bumper and bigger engine http://www.renault4motorclub.com/socios/delpozo/Dsc00073.jpg Very difficult to say if it is a SOFASA, DINA or Automotores Franco Chilena. Are you sure it is a Sofasa one? |

I believe must be Colombian assembly, cause they don't shown tubular bumpers such IKA ones;in plus, the movie was played in Colombia and the car had a Colombian plate...needs other infos??? PS In fact,IKA ones had 1020 cc.engines, not 850cc.,as that of model shown into movie(4 speeds, rather 3 of 1967 type) |

I'd say that the narrow chrome strips below the doors are 1973 or later, and, as said, the grille is 1968-1974. The logo on the grille would give it away because it was changed in 1974, but it's not there. -- Last edit: 2011-02-09 23:13:30 |

I think this Quatrelle was assembled by DINA RENAULT in Mexico. Althogh the movie it was supposed to be filmed in Colombia, it has mexican cars, and mexican version of the Renault 12 an the Renault 18. The Renault 4 made by SOFASA RENAULT between 1970 and 1974 , has the grey grille and NEVER, had the removable roof as these one. I had to said the plate was also incorrect but it is also more appropiated than others made for colombian Renault 4. |

Goof: For the interior shot in the 'hotwire' scene they used a 2CV (AZAM?) |

The film was shot in Mexico, not Colombia, and this cannot be a Colombian-made model. |
