It's just your typical Silverado 1500 Extended Cab truck. I wouldn't know what trim this is. |

To me it looks like a 2001-2002 2500HD... It has the grille with the thicker chrome bar and a more "bulgier" hood. An example of a 2500: http://images3.ecarlist.com/cgi-bin/viewall.pl?dir=1733_399719 And a 1500: Link to "static.howstuffworks.com" There is a slight difference in the front end. |

Yes, you're right. I don't know if I am completely right or not, but isn't this one simply a 2500 and not a 2500HD? If you notice, the HD's have those different wheels as can be seen in your link. This one has the wheels that look more like the 1500 ones. Check this 2500 out as it appears to be a regular 2500 and has the same wheels as in the main image: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2000-chevrolet-silverado-1500-2500-4.htm |

I think you're right with 2500 versus 2500HD but I'm not positive. I just know the 1500's have a slightly different front end. Are there any Silverado/Sierra experts that can help out? |

The non heavy duty 2500 used the same hood and grille as the 1500, only the 2500HD and 3500 got this hood and grille which also makes this a 2001-2002 -- Last edit: 2011-04-12 07:42:27 |
