this is a 3/4 ton based on the 8 lug wheels - so it would be a C-20 if for certain it is a Chevy, but i think it may actually be a GMC..? |

1977-79 GMC 3500, and aren't those 4WD hubs in the wheels? The tires look like either off-road or snow tires. |

i made that as a logo in the cap center... but you could certainly be right. those 8 lug wheels got the 16.5" truck tires if i remember mine correctly (though mine was a Chevy C-20 heavy duty 2wd with a 3 speed manual + granny gear)... so snow or heavy duty tires wouldn`t be unheard of even on the 2wd models. |

2wd. The front swing arms are visible. Most likely a regular 3/4 ton although there were some 3500 SRW models but rare. |

agreed... for the 2WD trucks, almost all of the single rear wheel models would have been 3/4 ton 2500 models rather than 3500. |

So the consensus is that it's a 3/4 ton truck? In that case the proper name for this one should be "C-25." It's also a 1977-1978 model as 1979 models had the headlight bezel wrap around the lower turn signal lenses. |
