gundorps ◊ 2008-06-17 19:39	Maybe this car was picked to show Indy as having more of a connection with the common man, rather than as some "aristocrat", or maybe I'm reading more into this than what's really there, but my father (who used to work on cars like this when he was a kid) used to tell me that a LaSalle was often called a "Poor Man's Cadillac", because it was more affordable than a Caddy but didn't have quite the "appoointments" that one would. You'd think someone on a Professors salary would be able to afford a real Cadillac! =) -Dean
