Photos a bit fuzzy but M4A2? marking with the 30 is on a flat panel and on an A2 its more rounded on the edge but the other side of the tank is not in shot. |

Among many others, these companies are just a few that I know who made the Sherman: Lima Locomotive Works Pressed Steel Car Co. Pacific Car and Foundry Co Fisher Tank Arsenal Pullman Standard Car Co. American Locomotive Co. Baldwin Locomotive Works Federal Machine and Welder Co |

We have two listed as Pressed Steel, so I guess it is better to continue to use that one |

I can agree with dutchy that it is most likely the M4A2 'Sherman' from 1942. Here is the picture which I improved a bit: ![]() This version was produced by a number of companies: - Fisher Tank Arsenal - Pullman Standard Car Co. - American Locomotive Co. - Baldwin Locomotive Works - Federal Machine and Welder Co. As Fisher produced most M4A2 I suggest to use that name. Pressed Steel only produced the M4 and M4A1. |

the "30" is in black on a yellow circle..thats the bridge classification plate for crossing bailey bridges...this mark indicates the tank to be British crewed..the US didnt have this marking. |
