This is an Eagle Model 05, manufactured by Eagle in Brownsville TX, a company owned by Trailways Company to manufacture busses for their use and to sell to charter companies. The step back window above the windshield was on the 05's. This is not manufactured by International nor powered by them, it has a GM Detroit Diesel 8V71 power unit, with a Spicer 8844A 4 spd stick. Later American Eagles came with 92 series power and lots came with the Allison Automatics. International Harvester/IHC never made intercity busses, just chassis for school busses. |
