Honda CB900 Custom (1980-81) http://www.motorstown.com/images/honda-cb-900-custom-08.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/2012/04/05/bikepics-2378283-full.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/2003/05/27/bikepics-47667-full.jpg The CB750 and CB900 Customs were similar looking bikes. Both had Comstar wheels, just like the subject bike and motors that appeared to be identical (silver colour on both bikes in 1980-81). But, there were differences. The 750 was chain-driven while the 900 was shaft-drive. The 900 had a dual range sub-transmission, the 750 didn't. The 900 had air-assisted suspension front and rear, not the 750. With what little is shown of the subject bike in the pictures (even the close-up of the motor), it's very hard to determine if it's a 900 or a 750. But, on the motor picture, I believe, though I'm not a 100% sure, I can see an oil cooler. In the US (and maybe elsewhere), the 900 Custom had one, not the 750. So, I vote CB900C! -- Last edit: 2014-06-19 08:54:28 |
