Cadillac-Gage Commando V100, I think. |

Seems more like CG GAZ BRDM-2s to me: /vehicles_make-GAZ_model-BRDM-2.html |

Maybe this is a question for 2491tj and others experts. The shape of this, indeed, looks match better with the plain side and front part of BRDM-2 (also this . Scroll down to number 3) than the V shape on side in Cadillac Gage Commandos. But what looks a door on side make me doubt about it because I didn't find an exact model of this until I found what is a BRDM-2M-96ik "Szakal". Check also here and scroll down 2/3: "BRDM-2M-96ik "Szakal" - (Szakal - Jackal) Designed in 2003 by WZMech for the Polish troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. It has the Iveco Aifo 8040SRC 6-cylinder diesel engine......" In locations, IMDB (also in the movie in red ending credits) says the movie was filmed in Australia and I don't find results about BRDM-2 in Australian Army. Anyone knows where the bridges showed in the pic are? |

The APCs in this shot could easily be computer graphic models. Anyway, the Szakal is just a modernisation of the old Soviet BRDM-2. Unless you can see details unique to the Szakal, these are probably just off the shelf CG models of the BRDM-2. /vehicles_make-GAZ_model-BRDM-2.html -- Last edit: 2010-07-16 10:47:39 |

To clarify: are there any details visible in this shot which mean that these are Szakals in particular and not basic BRDM-2s? -- Last edit: 2010-07-16 19:00:43 |
