I don't recall the Celebrity wagon ever coming with wood panelling. I know the other variations did (Olds Ciera, Buick Century, and Pontiac 6000). The taillights on this car kind of resemble the Pontiac 6000 Safari station wagon so I'm guessing this is the Pontiac rather than the Chevy. |

I'm pretty sure this is the Buick Century. |

The taillights most resemble those of the Celebrity (as they appear to be divided into three sections), but I don't think I've ever seen a Celebrity with the panelling either. |

I'm gonna with 6000 |

Not a 6000. 6000 not have an vertical hood emblem "like a mercedes". Century Wagon for me. |

I'm not sure what it is, those are definitely Celebrity taillights, but the wood-trimmed Celebrity (Yes, there have been wood-trimmed Celebrities, I believe that option was called the Celebrity "Estate Wagon".) had darker wood panelling, and neither the Celebrity nor the Pontiac 6000 had a Hood ornament... ![]() |

Looks like it has amber indicator. Probably converted ![]() |

Agreed. This is a 1986+ Celebrity Estate Wagon. |
◊ 2015-07-17 07:03 |
Again, this is not a 6000. The 6000 Safari had ribbed taillights; this doesn't. These taillights look to be from a Celebrity, albeit with replacement (amber) indicators. Also, the wagon in question clearly has a CHMSL, so 1986+. |

Stop with the waving smiley. It's very annoying! |

I was simply doing it to get the attention of whoever updated the page recently. |

It's definitely a Celebrity wagon with those taillights. Celebrity http://www.cardomain.com/ride/128076/1986-chevrolet-celebrity/ Century: Link to "en.wikipedia.org" Cutlass Cruiser: Link to "www.google.com" |

Yes, and 1986+ due to CHMSL. EDIT: The one thing that confuses me, however, is the hood ornament; I can't find any Celebrities with hood ornaments. ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-07-17 15:06:23 |
◊ 2015-07-17 15:10 |
Didn't only the Century have the hood ornament? I'm assuming this hood ornament is just a custom one. |
◊ 2015-07-17 15:45 |
That's what I'm thinking. |

Hello? Anyone? This is a 1986 Celebrity, and should be listed as one! |

http://www.curbsideclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/85-Estate.jpg can the tailights being switched between each others ? Maybe Century with Celebrity tailights .... ( or the hood ornament was added by the owner ) after all , we have here a 2002 Camry with the headlights of a 2005 one... -- Last edit: 2015-07-19 18:15:23 |

Why is this still listed as a Pontiac? There's no proof of it being one... ![]() |

Probably a Pontiac 6000 Safari with replacement taillights ![]() |

Based on the hood ornament, It's probably either a Celebrity with an aftermarket hood ornament, or a Buick Century with replacement taillights. If it were a 600, it would have to have both an aftermarket hood ornament (since the 6000 never had one) AND replacement taillights from a Celebrity, and if that were the case, couldn't it also be an Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser? |

That dark blue color with that paneling looks more like a Century/Safari. I'm actually leaning towards Buick Century for this one. |
◊ 2015-07-22 05:59 |
So the general consensus is; Celebrity and Cutlass - dark wood Century and Safari - light wood Sorry to over-complicate things, but what about the Celebrity in my first link? It has the lighter wood... ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-07-22 05:59:56 |

Why are you soooooooooooooooooo obsessed with this one car? Until we get more caps, let it go! |
◊ 2015-07-22 07:04 |
I'm not; I just think "unknown" would be a more proper listing for the time being, seeing as Pontiac is no more likely than, say, Buick... |
