Looks like '73-80 style fender emblems. The '67-72 style flat-cowl chassis was built up to the mid '80s (School buses and armored cars- If I could pick two applications I'd LEAST want a truck that looks older than it is, it would be hauling around people's kids and cash...) |

Based on the pics, the Chevy is probably a '72 or earlier - since Superior had a wrap around style window in the rear pre-'73. The GMC has to be newer because of the end cap and rear bulkhead. The background bus looks like a mid '60s GMC/Superior. |

I know Chevy/GMC used this same front end design until 1983. Baltimore County Public Schools had Superior Chevys like this from 1980. And GMC from 1981 and had Superior Chevy full size buses in 80-81 with the same design and the 82/83 Ward GMCs with this front end for the full size fleet. And the design change for the GM started on the 84 Waynes. |
