Kinda looks like a Lamborghini. |
◊ 2006-09-12 08:49 |
that's it because the vector is based on a lamborghnini frame and engine if im not wrong... |
◊ 2006-09-12 11:32 |
You are wrong. It has nothing to do with Lambo. Made by Vector Aeromotive, used a V8 motor derived from Chevrolet. |

ok, no this model, but check this site http://www.lambocars.com/rel/w12s.htm at last this vector is in this site, in related cars...in somehow the vector is related to lamborghini... -- Last edit: 2006-09-20 08:25:02 |

Vector M-12 really have a Lamborgihini V12, that's true. |
◊ 2006-09-22 03:40 |
yeah, that's the thing related to lamborghini and vector...i wonder if the vector M-12 appears in some movie... |

yeah the W2 and W8twinturbo models used a Rodeck race modified Chevy 350ci 5.7L engines. Later models used Lamborghini V12s, but the high production cost, poor reliability, and maintanence costs of the lambo engines made them not as desireable or worth the extra cost. If they had stuck with the modified chevy engines they would have been more popular. one reason being is the relative inexpensive maintanence costs and endless supplies of aftermarket performance parts available. not to mention the the ability to work on the motor at your house like all us car nuts and gear heads and grease monkeys like to do. but thats just my thoughts on it... |

I have always had a thing for the Vector cars. I read everything about them I could find in the early '90's. A total of 17 W8s were produced and sold. I actually saw the yellow one (a '92 model) driving around in a Dallas suburb in '94. The successor to the W8 was to be the Avtech WX-3. Two WX-3 prototypes were built; one a coupe and the other a roadster. In '93, Megatech, an Indonesian company that also owned Lamborghini at the time, bought out Vector and moved the headquarters from California to Florida. The new company started production of the Vector M12. The M12 was based on the WX-3, but had a modified Lamborghini Diablo V12. Fourteen M12s were built by 1999. Next, they put some scoops on the outside of the M12, dropped in a Corvette V8, reduced the price and called it the SRV8. This car was basically a flop and went nowhere. Gerald Weigert, the designer and creator of the original car and company, sued and regained control of his company shortly after. They've taken the current project, the WX-8, to concours events and auto shows over the last few years, but it remains to be seen if the car will ever see production. -- Last edit: 2009-07-19 23:03:54 |

Your thinking of the Vector M12, which was basically just a rebodied Diablo. |

D'après le lien suivant (http://www.forum-auto.com/marques/marques_oubliees/sujet21.htm) on nous dit que cette voiture est de 1991 et que son chassis est le numéro 003. |
