I just tried to check for it on the California DMV Smog Test that many of you have used, and nothing turned up. |

^Either it's a fake plate or it was never tested after they began electronic record keeping (the car may have been scrapped, sold out of state, issued new plates...). I do not know of any way to distinguish between 1975 and 1976 Coronets. Sorry I never responded earlier; late August was a but hectic for me. |

According to the list I have (from calpl8s.com), SAT and WED (used here: /vehicle_327947-Volvo-122-S-Station-Wagon-P220-1965.html) weren't used on California plates at this time. It looks like they're prop plates. |
