Yes, it is supposed to be in Marbella (Spain), but actually made in one of these locations: http://french.imdb.com/title/tt0365737/locations |

The official website says that the Marbella scenes were filmed in Dubai. syrianamovie.warnerbros.com/about.html |

Why? It was shortly used, and only in that scene -- Last edit: 2006-07-14 22:33:02 |

Oh my goshhh, this is the most painful thing i ever seen! Why always directors doesn´t check how a true plate looks? http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/jpglps/EU_Spain_GI.jpg The "diffcult" part (Blue rectangle with the E and the European ring) is fine, buy they put on it a US spec plate in the rear, with a completely different font type, and...please, 4 NUMBERS, 3 LETTERSSS Aaaand...sorry for this unjustified claim, but this things are awful... I can´t understand something like this: /images/008/575.jpg Real plate with a vocal, for avoid duplicate existing ones, but the example of Syriana and MI:2 is simply...i don't know what put here... And not only for Spanish ones, obviously, every US movie with the intention of appear to be European...goes so wrong... And please, if this message it´s inappropriate, archive it. -- Last edit: 2007-05-18 17:31:38 |

Have you seen the Lebanese plates in Syriana? They're painted by hand (or perhaps drawn with a marker pen). /vehicle_32793-Honda-Accord-1996.html |

Like that plate in Alias, they made it very well with matching number, but made a geography error: /vehicle_100119-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-L322.html Note that some European movies made errors for other European countries' plates, e.g.: /vehicle.php?id=102586 |

3 good examples...the mistake on the Belguim plate is plenty awfuller, this is because they know how it looks, but don´t have any idea of how the letters are assigned...but well, they always have the excuse of a "avoid duplicate..." -- Last edit: 2007-05-19 12:19:02 |
