Is that Camper version? Looks like 1973 or later... |
◊ 2010-08-23 16:26 |
It looks like a "self made" camper, but right, its a T2b '73+ |

Yes it's a camper of some description. Frustratingly they didn't show much of the outside.![]() -- Last edit: 2010-08-23 16:57:52 |

It's no Westfalia, but not neccessarily selfmade. In Britain there were a few manufacturers for the T2. The biggest was Dormobile. |

Refresh my memory; Who made the campmobiles with the high roofs? |
◊ 2010-08-24 17:18 |
For me this one looks strange and more as self made, the high roof versions were higher than this one, for manufactor example: SCA -- Last edit: 2010-08-26 15:22:03 |

It was right hand drive so maybe a British converter like Dormobile or Devon? |

It seems to be indeed a British made Camper conversion. I've seen a pic of such van right now in an "Irish Vintage" issue, also with other VW T2 and T3 Campers in the background, which had no Westfalia-roofs. Which UK-companies are known except Dormobile and Devon? ![]() |

There are and were hundreds of converters big and small. Devon were the main converters for VWs in UK (Dormobile usually did Commer/BMC/Bedford vans rather than VW). |

Model origin: Germany? |

Sure, but the DE flag will be set automatically once model name will be set (same for all VW vehicles, no need to ask on each one ![]() |

Orign Germany is correct, also that the Camper-conversion was made in GB. But we don't list these seperately, same with the many truck- and van-coachbuilders. |
