The featured vehicle in the movie is a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera. There is a smattering of other exotics - Lamborghini Muira, Lotus Esprit, Corvette, Ferrari 308, Porsche 928, and the Pantera. There's a drawn out chase scene in which the Pantera is supposedly the only car fast enough to keep up with the Porsche 928. The chase ends in the fiery explosion of the Pantera - watch closely and you'll notice the model used for the explosion has flares and an airdam, but the actual car does not. You can also see the wire used to pull the model of the embankment to it's fiery end.

I'm the current owner of the car, but all driving in the movie was done by the former owner, except for a few scenes with Dean Stockwell and Billy Drago behind the wheel. To learn more about the movie and the car, visit http://www.banzairunnerpantera.com

I've found my old video of this and have just completed my transfers to dvd.
Main pic has been replaced and all other cars will be added now + star ratings.! ;)
