Most defintley not a bugatti, it is a Bentley. |

Unusual to see faired-in headlights on one of these. I guess it is a later 4 1/4 litre model from around 1939?? |

Is this car the "BLY 4" /B112DG? The body looks like the Oxborrow and Fuller Continental tourer specially built by VandenPlas for H.E. Raphael? |

But could be a Vester et Neirlinck body. |

1935-1936 Bentley 3 1/2 litre Oxborrow & Fuller Continental Open Tourer by VandenPlas. A very specific body design produced exclusively for the retailers Oxborrow & Fuller to combine the allweather comfort of a drop head coupé with the low weight of a sports tourer. Not that many made, and all bar one 3 1/2 litres. Also available on Lagonda, Rolls Royce and Alvis. The faired in headlamps are a later update, of course and will hopefully have been reverted to proper headlamps in a subsequent restoration. The chromed wirewheels and white sidewall tyres are a later addition too, as may have been the bumpers, and the horns. Still, a lovely car! |
