Not a chase, just one pissed-off hockey wife. :D

I remember driving one of these once (it was old when I drove it) and thinking how scary unsafe it was, with all that metal around me. That thought occured to me when I saw the main pic.

Tv Boy, now imagine flying a van like this thirty feet thought the air, like they did for this movie. Scary!

This was my Uncle Joe's van (Joe Digardi). The movie was made in Johnstown, PA where we were all from. He drove me around with him as a kid and teenager MANY years in this van! He owned it until at least the mid to late '80s.

It was a beast, very spacious seats and made loud squeaking and rickety sounds (seeing the airtime it got, I can see why now). I know my Uncle and Paul Newman had many conversations, and the family told me Paul even took them all out to eat at the end of shooting and he was a class guy. There are some VERY ugly flower pattern greenish curtains they put in for the movie, and my Uncle REFUSED to remove the ugly things because "Paul Newman drove this van!".

Hey tonyt. Do you happen to know what chassis the van was on? E-100, E-200, or E-300? They look like small hubs. I'd venture an E-100.
