It's a ZILL 111 second generation (1963/1967) called Zill 111 G http://www.oldrussiancars.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/zil-111-g.jpg IL-111 produced from 1959–1963 and ZIL-111G from 1963–1967. Styling of ZIL-111 was inspired of 50s Packard. In 1963 car was restyled and model name was changed to ZIL-111G which was available as sedan and convertible. Front style now closely resembled Cadillac from 1961–1962. Dual unit taillights resembled and sixties Mercury. |

111 G was indeed the version with this new front, BUT only as closed limousine... The 4-door convertible was called 111 D. |

You're right !!

It looks like a bad cross betwen a 1959-60 Cadillac (especially the grille) and a mid-50s Chrysler Imperial. You'd think the USSR could have come up with something better...or more original. |
