It's a Mexican market Ford due to the front fascia. I suppose it could even be an F-250. |

The badge was much too blurry to read as it whizzed by, but it looked like three characters, so if one fell off maybe it was (F) 2 5 0 or (L) O B O, or could be F 15 0 since the 1 and 5 might look like one blurry blob. |

Are those aftermarket headlights assembly? |

rjluna: As I more or less mentioned before, that entire front assembly is unique to Mexican models. This is is a 2004+ model due to the revised fascia. However, it's definitely an F-Series as the Lobo name only applied to the redesigned 2004+ SuperCrew models (what we here in the US currently know as the F-150). |

We have a few pre-2004 Lobos listed /vehicles.php?make=Ford&model=Lobo&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on |

Yes, the Lobo name was introduced with the 1997 models in Mexico. But when the next generation, which were the 2004+ [P221] line of trucks were introduced, the Lobo name was naturally passed on while the older-style trucks were retained with the F-Series name to avoid confusion. |

I was confused by your statement for a little while there ford_guy, but I think I see what you mean now. What you are saying is that Ford Mexico did kinda the same thing as GM did with the Malibu here in the states. The name Lobo was used from 1997-2003 on this bodystyle truck, and in 2004 when the new bodystyle came out they named it Lobo, at the same time the old body style was still in production (2004-2009) and was re-named F-Series. Do I have this right? |
