According to the comments on the Austin page, apparently a 1923 Gardner, but from this view could be anything. Gardners were obscure upmarket cars, one of the very few obscure brands that survived all the way into 1931 (along with Jordan and Elcar) and only a few of the ca. 25,000 are known to still be extant today. None of them have been retained in Mississippi or Louisiana, where this movie was filmed. The nearest one is in Texas.
