This Expedition belongs to the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department in New Mexico. As such, I think it's safe to say that it's an XLT SSV (Special Service Vehicle) model. I hope Neptune can give his input, particularly with the year range. |

2003-2004 model, with part/full-time ControlTrac four-wheel-drive. Running boards have been removed. Likely has traction control (TC) or the optional rear limited-slip differential (LSD) I couldn’t see a PD getting a Expedition 4x4 without one or the other, it might even have both. An infinitely variable center locking differential (software controlled electromagnetic multi-plate clutch pack) was standard on all 4x4s. |

It probably has both, seeing how a lot of Bernalillo County is rural (this is the county that Albuquerque is in). |
