Yes, "Capri" was a seperate brand for all European Ford Capri cars sold on US market. /vehicles.php?make=Capri&model=&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on |

Something only for real men: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y57pin4GCno http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq1c3726leI&feature=related Yeah! Not to forget: the German Capri II had its own music!: Link to "www.youtube.com" (no idea, what the stupid overlay shall mean) |

Interesting [1] the car swaps from LHD to RHD to LHD [2] "I'd like to stroke her bottom" [3] The car is apparently a 2000 GL, despite the 3 litre bonnet, but does not have the dummy side vents (as our example). No idea what the music is - it's not in my collection. |

'72 for the colour (Daytona yellow) |

I must ask a friend, a collector of such 60ies/70ies-music. Maybe it's even a Klaus Doldinger-composition (as for this internal VW-film, too: /vehicle_289701-Volkswagen-K70-Typ-48-1970.html). |

According to IMDb, this movie was filmed in Germany: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076845/locations I suppose that would make this a Ford. |

If it's not a US spec Mk1, it has odd mixture of features. Pre-Sept 72 dummy side vents (and colour?), but 4 lights only appeared on European Capris after the Sept 72 facelift. US-like side markers and indicators in grille. As US-spec Capris were made in Germany, it would presumably be possible to borrow one from the factory for filming in Germany?? (though by 1977 it would be a few years old). Alternatively it is a US spec model supplied to US serviceman on tour of duty in Germany, but still in Germany? |

Why not? Around their garrisons there are dealers for used private GI-cars. And there was always a possibility to order US-spec parts at official brand-dealerships. Not at all of them, but at the bigger ones for sure. |
