Elan ? |

Elan (S2?). Jag is E type (S1 with covered lights). "Morgan" is MG TF. Mini is very early Morris Mini Minor with painted grille and no handlebars on over-riders. Red behind Jag is TR4, with a Corsair behind that, then something blurry, and finally a Ford Thames 400E van. nice picture. |

Difficult to say from here if an Elan 1963-64 or an Elan S2 1965-66? |

I bought a copy of Performance on DVD, I had a close look at the Elan and I reckon it has door frames, which makes it a standard S3 (type 45). Oh and the windscreen frame is red, on type 26s the windscreen frame is black. |

@jetlagged - useful info. There's a few more Elans if you're interested in pinning them down precisely ... Are you an owner? |

Guilty, I have a '65 S2 and a '69 S4. Do you have an Elan as well? |

No - I'm not an Elan expert, so happy for someone who knows them to come in. A car I like to think I'll own one day, but know I never actually will (and in a queue with Lancia Fulvia coupe, Porsche 911S 2.4, BMW 2002Tii, Sunbeam Stiletto, Fiat Dino etc). |

Dsl - your taste in cars is excellent! And you're a wise man to admire from afar - classic cars are wonderful fun, but a money pit. All the best jetlagged:) |
