Reg ◊ 2010-11-02 18:35	It's more than likely a model of an Alfa Romeo 8C - the second picture is a little small, but there's probably a supercharger just visible, so it's likely to be a 2600 from around 1933.
nzcarnerd ◊ 2010-11-02 20:33	Agreed on Alfa Romeo 8C. Note the gap between the two lots of four pipes on the engine. The 8 cylinder Alfa Romeo racing engine had its two overhead camshafts driven by a train of gears between the two blocks of four cylinders.
