It is S1. It has divided windshield same like military ones and "Arcitc" - version made for Siberia, but these seems also had quad headlamps and (at least sometimes) engine lid painted in matt black. Generally 815 was made in large numbers since 1983. |

A road-construction-company in the next town has such a truck still in use. Maybe I'll find it again for a photo. |

Oh, there was an import to Western Germany, by a company in Easter Bavaria. I had some brochures of it in the 80ies (but swapped later on in the car-literature-collectors-club). |

Surely a left-over from the DDR-Volksarmee Link to "www.vebeg.de" It's located in the far Northwest of Germany, near the Netherlands, but it surely has changed its homebase in the last 20 years. Isn't that the DDR-fire brigade colour-sheme either?  |
