Is there a dead soldier hanging over the barrel of the main gun? |

Yes. grimes also shoots a zombie inside the hatch, which really hurts his ears, when he's hiding from a horde of them. WHy he didn't use the ready and loaded .50 cal in the turret, i have no idea. |

He didn't use the turret because there were zombies all over it. It would have been too risky. Also, if I remember correctly, I don't think that turret was loaded. |

For my previous comment, it was towards the main picture for the tank. |

Almost mistook it for an M48A5 at first, based on the rounded frontal armour. Guess they couldn't find an M48A5 Patton or M60 for rental. Wonder where they rented a Chieftain in the Atlanta area. |

That's "Stillbrew," it's a bolt-on armour kit applied to late-model Chieftains. Chieftains seem to be common as dirt on the civilian market, probably because they're the first modern British tank to not have any major foreign exports so when the Challenger came along they had no secondary military customers to sell their old tanks to. Also, the shot of it exploding looks like it's a different vehicle to the one in the first shot and the shots of climbing zombies, notice the exploding one has a searchlight (big box on the left (tank's left) side of the turret) and the pictured one has just the bolt holes where it should go. So I guess they found someone with two Chieftains in the Atlanta area. Also: WHy he didn't use the ready and loaded .50 cal in the turret, i have no idea. Well, outside the story it would be because the .50 cal on the turret was a mocked-up fake rather halfassedly placed on top of a mounting that was designed for a much smaller 7.62mm gun. -- Last edit: 2012-06-15 10:30:36 |
