![]() Or was it a ready made prototype, which was given away, together with the production-tools? So something similar as the Hanomag F20, which was created originally by Vidal & Sohn, the "Tempo"-maker. Like the DAF77/Volvo 343, the NSU K 70/VW K 70 or the Audi sportscar-project/Porsche 924. |

Some single were also running in Germany. I have some dark memory-fragments of my childhood about such a Van. Maybe the potato-delivery-man in my grandmother' village or so...? ![]() On the countryside you could see such vehicles still in the lates 70ies. |

Those vans were an Spanish development, and were imported into some european and south american countries. Origin and built in Spain. |

No, but was imported to other South American countries. In the other hand, the Auto Union Combi and Pickup and IME Rastrojero Frontalito had bodies based on the spanish DKW F 1000 |

Well the bodies, specially the front is very similar to the DKW F1000. I find those argentinian brands VERY interesting! :-) |

Then, there is spanish connection, (at least on the body design) as the DKW F 1000 is entirely spanish (Except the engine, designed in Germany bothe the petrl DKW and Diesel Mercedes Benz). :-) What engines did use the argentinian models? DKW petrol? Any diesel engine? |

Thanks a lot for that info! So they used the Indenor engine, instead of the Mercedes Benz. Seems curious, due the connections between DKW and Mercedes. Maybe due the close of Auto Union in Argentina they had to look for another source. Interesting webpage, by the way! :-D |

Or due the fact, that the end of the alliance was in 1965, when Mercedes Benz had sold the Auto Union to Volkswagen. But the first post-war Audi, the F103, still had the Mercedes-logo on the engine, because it was originally an engine, Mercedes Benz had constructed in the 50ies for military usages, but it was never used. The legendary Ludwig Kraus ( http://www.audi-100-coupe-s.de/geschichte.html ) took the engine with him, when he got the order to save to the nearly dead Auto Union (because of the two-stroke-wrong track). Mercedes hadn't sold everything of the Auto Union. So they kept the DKW-plant in Düsseldorf for the assembling of light Transporters. So still nowadays they produce the Sprinter there. As Wikipedia says ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/DKW ) the Brazilian VEMAG was sold in 1967 to VW do Brazil. |

@Blackwalls: For nothing. Nothing to do here. @Ingo: Here, the plant of IASF SA (DKW-Auto Union)was sold to Fiat VI and in Sauce Viejo, Santa Fe (near the airport) produces until 1980 tractors and some forklifts. |
