AFAIK all Capris for the US-market were assembled in Cologne. Is it the Capri '73? |

Yes, the 73'-facelift |

Agree this is a Mk1 with Sept 72 onwards facelift trim. Not sure where US Capris made - one clue would be engine size if over 2 litres - UK only made 3-litres, Germany only 2.3 and 2.6. Alongside this is the question whether UK made LHD Capris. |

Yes, they did. The 3.0 was also as LHD made in Britain. A fellow of my plate-collector-forum had such a car years ago. Spare parts are the biggest problem for this model, because it was made with inch-tools and -parts. The German made Capri's had metric measures. Due this reason the 3.0 is quite unpopular for Continental European Ford-freaks. |

.... and a metric Capri would create parallel problems in US !?! |

With that bumper it's a 1974 |

It depends on the tools, the mechanic has In the USA surely the spare-part-problem is worse anyways, will all kind of Capri's, resp.European Ford's at all. It's horrible here, too. Ford is the worst European car-company in this relation. |
