Interceptor or FF? |

Are there any clearer shots of the back end of the front wing? One grille means interceptor, two means FF. |

As this is a car at a dealership it would most likely be new. FF ceased production in '71. Added to that there are far more Interceptors (Something like a measure of 20 to 1 FF) the weight of probability is with Interceptor. |

Unlikely it being a FF as only ONE made it to new to USA - due to it's specaliist nature vast majority were UK sales http://www.richardcalver.com/article_FF.htm -- Last edit: 2010-12-21 20:26:55 |

Interesting link - suggests no LHD FF was ever built. If we have a FF/Interceptor dilemma in future, LHD means has to be Interceptor and LHD country for the location suggests very likely to be Interceptor (of the 320 FFs built all sold originally to RHD countries [Britain 298, RoI & NI 8, Channel Islands 7, Australia 1] apart from 3 to Switzerland, 2 to West Germany and 1 bought by GM in USA for evaluation). FF only plausible for RHD car, though some modern trickle imports by classic car folk has happened to LHD countries (eg Sweden, USA). -- Last edit: 2010-12-22 00:11:41 |
