[W113] with specific bumpers: made for RA. I guess it's a rather early one (white steering wheel, hubcaps, no head rests), but not sure. |

280 SL, more probably the only sold here. Link to "www.taringa.net" in spanish. -- Last edit: 2010-12-19 13:00:20 |

Why listed as 1968, when it's an earlier one? |

Sure? I am not an expert on Mercedes-Benz, this car was sold very little, but I do not know |

Because Gomselmash11 was convinced it had to be a 280 SL (and not a 230 or 250) I put 1968 as first possiblity. But as I already stated I too think it will rather be an earlier version... |

The link shows annother late SL (see the wheels, plus the black steering wheel). The car on the main pic is pre-1968. |

Clarifying what others say, this is a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda from 1970, and it was one of Sandro's personal cars, (protagonist in this and several other films) Here are photos of the car currently |

Where did you get that info? Comments above say that is a 1968 model if not even older than that. |

It's on the internet, I'm also Argentine, a fan of old cars and Sandro, I know a lot about classic cars in Argentina |

But Mercedes-Benz added batwing headrests to all their automobiles starting in 1969. Plus it has the older, ivory-colored steering wheel and not the newer, black version. |

No doubt about your knowledge, so was the Argentinian version of the W113 a bit different from the original one then? Or maybe they just put some parts from older models? |

Perhaps it has some differences with the European model, or has been customized, Sandro also had a 1970 Rambler Ambassador which he asked to customize with rear wheel covers, tinted rear windows, upholstery in the back of the cabin, a suede that reduced the rear window surface, seats and part of the dashboard covered in white leather, etc. |
