This car is too big to be a Cloud 3 and it also has suicide rear doors where the Cloud has conventional doors. I think this is more likely a late-series Phantom V. Where are our R-R experts? -- Last edit: 2010-12-23 18:33:20 |

I'd agree on a late Phantom V, possibly by Mulliner Park Ward. The registration may belong to RR/Bentley dealer Jack Barclay. |

Browsing the Internet I found this thread. This vehicle was owned by Jack Barclay for some time and was indeed a 1967 Phantom V Sedanca de Ville by James Young. My father was a chauffeur for Jack Barclay for many years and he was the primary driver of the vehicle. It was used for many "important" clients not to mention being in the film Vampira, which my father was cast in to drive the car for a short period - JB were very keen to ensure no damage etc! I was very fortunate to have this car as my wedding car - I had worked for Jack Barclay in my early career and they allowed me that honour. One of my father's colleagues drove the car on my wedding day (very nervously) and it was memorable that my father jumped into the car on our way to the Reception. We were in London, Fulham FC were playing at home and people were all around the car so he got into it! No damage and we had a wonderful day. I would love to know where the car is now and see a picture of it. |
