It could either be a 2009 Dodge Ram or a 2010 Ram 1500. I would not know how to tell the model years apart. -- Last edit: 2015-02-05 15:38:50 |

No, for 2010 its just called Ram... or not? |
◊ 2010-12-25 05:22 |
For 2010 and newer models, Ram is the make and the numbers (1500, 2500, etc.) are the model names. |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2010-12-25 05:23 |
Yes, it is... i think this the newer Ram, probably the 1500 model. |
◊ 2010-12-25 05:32 |
What do you mean by "newer?" You mean 2010? Any proof? |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2010-12-25 05:44 |
Yes, 2010. |
◊ 2010-12-25 05:48 |
How can you tell? |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2010-12-25 05:51 |
Not this? http://www.allpar.com/photos/dodge/ram/2009/dodge-ram.jpg in the link says Dodge |
◊ 2010-12-25 05:54 |
I don't know what is in your link since it doesn't go through. |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2010-12-25 05:55 |
Why i don't know? you not see? |
◊ 2010-12-25 05:57 |
No, I get an error message from the site. |

Well, other link: Link to "www.distrocar.com" |

What are you trying to tell me? I just don't know how to tell if it's a 2009 or 2010+ model because 2009 models were the last Rams to be sold under the Dodge name. 2010 was the first year that the Ram became an automobile division of Chrysler (and therefore the make, not model). |
◊ 2010-12-25 06:34 |
Probably a brand-new 2010 supplied by the manufacturer as a product placement |

For such error you can copy/paste the link in a new window |

I had not heard of this change - there are small numbers of Chrysler/Dodge vehicles sold here, including the pickups. There is a brief note here - http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/05/new-ram-brand-gets-dodge-horns-logo.html - about the logo changes. Seems that the pickups will be difficult to identify as they will still have the 'ram' logo as they have always had, whereas it is the Dodge logo which will change. In this case I think Gomselmash is right as the new model has the wider central vertical bar in the grille - http://www.thetorquereport.com/dg009_032rm.jpg - compared with the older model - Link to "www.autospectator.com" -- Last edit: 2010-12-25 20:29:00 |

No, the 2009 and 2010 models are exactly alike. 2009 was the first model year for the re-designed Ram, but it only lasted one year under the Dodge brand. 2010 was the first year it was sold under the Ram make. The one in your last link, the "older model" is a 2006. That body style ended with the 2008 model year. I just want to know if there's a way to figure out if it's a 2009 Dodge or a 2010 Ram. |

I'm not 100% positive (someone please confirm) but it looks as though 2009-2010 Rams have the word DODGE on the Ram's head logo on the tailgate and the 2011's don't. |
◊ 2010-12-27 03:21 |
Yes, the 2011 models have dropped the name Dodge from their center "ram" (male sheep) emblem on the rear tailgate. It just shows the ram only. |
◊ 2010-12-27 08:17 |
Do you have any idea what this one might be? |
◊ 2010-12-28 02:10 |
In my opinion it’s more likely to be the earlier 2009 model "Dodge", than the 2010 "Ram" or "Ram Trucks" as they are listed as on the site, /vehicle_276287-RAM-Trucks-1500-2010.html ... Otherwise, there is no known distinguishing marker to tell a ’09 from a ’10. It’s just a shame the company had to go and change its name. Causes so much confusion. |

Indeed, I can see this becoming an issue here on IMCDb. |
◊ 2010-12-28 06:19 |
I think it was a completely brainless decision to separate the trucks from the Dodge brand. But, what do I know. |
◊ 2010-12-28 06:22 |
Now now Neptune, don't you dare bring logical thinking to the attention of those Chrysler executives |
◊ 2010-12-29 23:15 |
Yeah, I think so. To throw another wrench in the works, the 2011 Dakota is also considered a Ram. |
