eLMeR Can we confirm that this has 'Cheyenne' trim level? |
◊ 2015-05-05 03:46 |
As 1971+ model, it's indeed a possibility. And among the 4 available trim levels in 1972, this fender emblem looks a lot like a Cheyenne one (here the Custom, the Custom Deluxe and the Cheyenne Super emblems). But apart this emblem and the chrome bumpers, the painting scheme of the ambulance company "erased" the other Cheyenne trim clues: bright fuel filler cap, side moldings, Cheyenne specific 2-tone paint. Unless these ones were not available for Chassis-cab models? From what can be seen in all these pictures, this ambulance has either the (C-30 only) 157"/3.99 m wheelbase or the 133"/3.38 m Longhorn one (the shorter ones are 127"/3.23 m or 115"/2.92 m),the latter meaning a C-20 or a C-30. Don't forget that from 1963 onwards, both C-20 and C-30 models had single rear wheels as standard and dual as option, and it was the same for the Action Line generation. So if a 133" wheelbase, nothing in these pictures can helps us to tell a model over another -- Last edit: 2015-05-05 03:53:39 |

It is ongoing basis, eLMeR. I am still working on these Emergency! episodes. I'll post anything important to this page here. |
