I'm thinking it's a Ford Econoline. |

Im Curious...What makes you think that? ![]() |

Most of them are Econoline, so there is a high probability ![]() |

This could just as easily be a Ford F-350, or not even a Ford at all. |

You can't really tell just from the back. |

I tried to look up Leonardo Volunteer First Aid & Rescue's website(as well as Leonardo Fire Department) to see if they still have the ambulance as part of their apparatus, but I couldn't find the sites. -- Last edit: 2006-06-11 14:47:43 |

This is all you get to see of it, due to the grainy, low grade film used, the side of it is completely in the dark. And with American ambulances, they seem to bolt a square cabin onto a commercial van platform, in a similiar way as a class B motorhome, so the vehicle could be anything I guess. |

Either that or pickup truck platforms. |

I'd consider this one completely unidentifiable. ![]() |

But we'll leave it here anyway. You never know someone might come one who was once a member of the Leonardo Volunteer First Aid and Rescue and tell us what it is. |

There is a small problem. The newer grille equipped on Unit 382 (in the CarDomain.Com photo) first appeared on 1997 models, and was used up to the 2002 model year. Also the E-450 badge says "Super Duty" under E-450. That badge was first used on 1999 models. That firmly indicates the Ford Ambulance is much newer – at least a 1999 model. Pre 1999 model name emblems just said "E-450" only. Make of that, what you will. I suppose it is possible that Unit 382 (that was used in the movie) was later replaced by a much newer Unit 382. |
