That thing looks like it ram-raided Halfords and everything just stuck to it! |
◊ 2007-08-07 08:55 |
Looking at that Jetta is dissapointing. It gives the impression that any car can be a racing car as long as you have a wing and NOS on it... |

This car has no buisness in racing, says this observer... A 4-door sedan with a wing and styling just isn`t right! Like the Lancer Evolution in the second film. -- Last edit: 2009-08-01 14:14:31 |

Man for a '95 Jetta, Hollywood can make any car look good. |
◊ 2010-04-15 10:33 |
actually, many jetta's are quite fast, and the Evo is basically a stock bred race car. they are both very powerful cars, don't get me wrong, they are no Mur Skyline or 2JZ Supra, but they are fast compared to others in their class... |
◊ 2011-03-14 05:39 |
man dont do ithe's got at least a grand in that thing what have you got? 10 bucks in stickers and a ricer wing actualy they both were probably the same state! lol |
◊ 2011-05-14 14:52 |
Halfords doesn't sell anything that tasteful |
◊ 2011-05-28 20:27 |
Love this car... |
◊ 2011-09-04 08:32 |
these cars stock are very speedy even thought the 2.0L inline 4 is under powered, my ex had a 97 glx and it could outrun a 2000 ford focus right off the line tire spinning and all |

According to THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS OFFICIAL CAR GUIDE the Jetta(s)used had an automatic gearbox. The nitrous kit that they fitted probably helped with recovering the time that Jesse lost with slow gear changes! The producers also swapped the exhaust tone to one of a Acura Integra race car! |

All you haters shut up. There are plenty of M3's that have a wing and NOS and could whoop your silly ass car. Problem is, what would it take to get you people to realize that there are plenty of "fake" muscle cars? |

Did anyone notice that, right before he starts at "Race Wars", he got break disks, but no calipers. Maybe that's why he kept driving... |

Just no |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR_l0v7-rx8 Interview by Craig Liebermann with the original owner of the car. They discuss the backstory of the car and the full specs. The Jetta was a 2.0 automatic with minimal engine mods. -- Last edit: 2019-07-24 01:09:18 |

The reason there appeared to be no brake calipers on the Jetta is because what you saw was the stunt car. The Hero 1 Jetta had a big brake kit which the stunt cars didn't need. The brake disc on the stunt cars was fake and was put on top of the stock brakes. |
◊ 2024-11-11 16:29 |
One of the stunt Jettas appeared in the awful Steven Seagal movie "Today You Die", not "Out of Reach", as someone claimed over 10 years ago. |
