This Jimmy has to be a 1996 model because the 1994 model is the older boxy design. The design changed for the 1995 model year, but the 95's do not have daytime running lights and this car does have running lights so it has to be a 1996 model. I know this because I own a 1995 Jimmy. |

If it had daytime running lights, the parking lights in the bumper wouldn't be on also. I think the headlights are just on. |

That's right (for GM cars at least), and daytime running lights on GM cars with automatic transmissions usually don't come on when the transmission is in "park". Here in Canada, all cars and trucks have daytime running lights since 1990. |

Ford does it the same way. Our Windstar has DRLS and the DRLs only come on when the trans is out of Park with the engine running. They stay on when the parking lights are turned on, but go off when the headlights are switched on. |
